Crufts
Crufts is the most prestigious dog show in the world. It attracts dog owners and dog lovers from all over the world. Crufts stages continuous competitions, demonstrations, hundreds of trade stands and thousands of people. Crufts really is the dog show of all dog shows, and something every dog lover should experience at least once in his or her lifetime.
Crufts 2004 was a great success attracting over 21,000 dogs and 120,000 people over the four-day period. The Crufts website received over 3.25 million hits during Crufts 2004, whilst the BBC television programme, bringing the highlights from each of the four days, attracted huge viewing figures each night. Crufts 2005 will have features such as the Obedience World Cup, Dog Days Out displays, Good Citizen Dog Scheme training, Young Kennel Club events, flyball and so much more. All culminating in the coveted prize of ‘Crufts 2005 Best In Show’. Over four hundred trade stands stock everything and anything you could need for your dog, from trolleys to carry your dog around in, to running machines to keep them fit or perfume to stop any doggy smells. Also, the many UK animal charities show the important work they do for dogs, or the work with dogs to benefit people. These fantastic organisations attracted many visitors who wanted to see the wide range of talents that dogs have. The Kennel Club’s intention is to promote in everyway the general improvement of dogs. The event is the ideal place to view all that the dog world has to offer, from showing and competitions to grooming and doggy treats! Crufts has it all.
